Bulls trade proposal lands them veteran sharpshooter in exchange for young point guard image

The Chicago Bulls haven’t been one of the league’s most exciting squads throughout this offseason. They’ve stayed relatively quiet outside of trading Lonzo Ball to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Isaac Okoro. However, a new trade proposal could see them land a sharpshooting guard from the Los Angeles Clippers.

Sports Illustrated’s Jackson Caudell and Rohan Raman proposed a mock trade that would see the Bulls land Bogdan Bogdanovic in a three-team trade with the Clippers and Atlanta Hawks.

The full trade is as follows:

Hawks Receive: Ayo Dosunmu

Clippers Receive: Kevin Huerter

Bulls Receive: Bogdan Bogdanovic, Kobe Bufkin, Vit Krejci, a 2029 2nd round pick (from ATL, via CLE), a 2030 2nd round pick (via ATL), a 2031 2nd round pick (via ATL), a 2031 2nd round pick (via LAC), and a 2032 2nd round pick (via LAC).

Bogdanovic has been a consistent sharpshooting threat in the NBA since he debuted in 2017. He averages 14.3 points per game and is a 38 percent three-point shooter in his career. He has spent time with the Sacramento Kings along with the Hawks and Clippers. Last season in time spent between the Hawks and Clippers, he averaged 10.8 points per game and shot 36 percent from three-point range. His numbers improved drastically upon his arrival with the Clippers, shooting 43 percent from three after shooting just 30 percent from downtown with Atlanta.

As for Bufkin and Krejci, they’ll be pieces that the Bulls would look to develop as they head towards a deep rebuild. While nothing seems imminent at the moment, it could be something that the Bulls could consider heading into next season.
