Success in football often means lifting trophies. And Kyle Walker has lifted quite a few with Manchester City.

But despite his cabinet full of silverware, the England right-back says he would trade some of that glory for just one moment of joy with his old club — Tottenham.

Walker, now 35, spent nearly a decade in north London before joining City in 2017. He saw Spurs grow but never saw them win.

That changed recently when Tottenham lifted the Europa League trophy by beating Manchester United. Walker wasn’t on the pitch, but he felt every emotion.

“That’s the first time in a long time I was nervous, and I wasn’t even playing!” he said on The Kyle Walker Podcast. And then came the big reveal.

“I’d probably give up one Premier League, not the first, to have won that with Tottenham,” Walker admitted. “I know what it means. I’d probably give my second. It’s hard to give one away, but for what that moment meant. To be in that Spurs squad that won a trophy…”

Kyle Walker success with Man City and what's next?

Walker left Tottenham to chase trophies — and it paid off. At Manchester City, he became part of a winning machine.

Six Premier League titles. A Champions League. FA Cups. Carabao Cups. The works. But sometimes, the medals you don’t win hurt more than the ones you do.

It’s clear his old teammates still matter to him. Seeing Son Heung-min hoist the Europa League trophy was a special moment. Harry Kane, another Spurs legend, also won his first major honor with Bayern. Meanwhile, Walker might be packing his bags again.

His future at City is unclear. A loan to AC Milan didn’t turn permanent, and he’s expected back for pre-season. But even if he moves on, it’s obvious a part of him never left Tottenham.
