Why has this been a record breaking year?
Summer 2025 has been like any other because there were two transfer periods, due to FIFA's Club World Cup.
A mini 9-day window was opened on June 1 and saw an estimated £400m spent, where Manchester City paid out £108 million for three signings.
The window then reopened on June 16 and spending continued.
Florian Wirtz's £117 million signing to reigning champions Liverpool broke the British transfer record.
16 of the 20 Premier League sides have broken their own transfer records of the last four years - valued at £100 million or more.
There are still big players in contention to be sold.
Newcastle want to keep Alexander Isak, but Liverpool could look to pay the £150 million price tag.
Crystal Palace are keen to sell Marc Guehi in order to avoid him leaving for free next summer, while Eberechi Eze could be on his way to Tottenham.
Alejandro Garnacho could be on his way out of Manchester United, as could Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea.
With players of their calibre and hefty price tags, it looks no doubt that it will be a record breaking summer.
