Jack Grealish is being tipped for a big year ahead after departing Manchester City and joining Everton on a season-long loan.
The attacker fell out of favour under Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium due to struggles with form and with staying fit regularly.
He now moves to Merseyside with the hope of revitalising his career and enjoying playing Premier League football again.
Grealish's downturn in the past two seasons at City had an impact on his international career, as he was left out of Gareth Southgate's final 26-man England squad for Euro 2024.
Grealish has not played for The Three Lions in 2025, meaning he is yet to get a chance to impress England boss Thomas Tuchel.
With the abundance of attacking talent in the England national ranks, it is paramount the 29-year-old gets back to his best levels if he wants to represent his country again and feature at next summer's FIFA World Cup.

Former England player confident in Grealish's World Cup chances

While Grealish may have a bit of work to do at Everton over the coming months to boost his international future, one former England player is confident that Tuchel will soon select the recently departed City player.
Paul Merson, who represented England at Euro 1992 and the 1998 World Cup, is a big advocate of Grealish's move to Merseyside and believes his international career can be rejuvenated.
"First, Grealish needs to focus on Everton and get going with his new club, but Grealish has given himself a chance with England with this move," said the Sky Sports pundit.
"A place in the England squad is in Grealish's hands. At City he wasn't playing, but this move gives him a great chance to get back in," the 57-year-old added.
Merson boldly predicts that Grealish will replicate the form which secured him a £100m move from Aston Villa to City four years ago, which in turn can see him feature at the next major international tournament.
"I think we are going to see the Grealish from his Aston Villa days. If he performs to the ability he can, Grealish will be on that plane to America to the World Cup."
Merson also explained specifically how playing for David Moyes' side will benefit Grealish.
"At Man City it's a case of playing teams with everyone behind the ball. Teams have been doubling up on him and there's been no space.
"He now goes to Everton, and he'll have space. He'll be one vs one in a lot of games. He'll get the ball and be able to attack players, commit them and take them on."
England's final five qualifying games for the World Cup take place over the next three months and will be the last competitive games before next summer's tournament.
Hence, it is necessary for Grealish to perform in an Everton shirt as soon as possible if he wants to make a case for a spot on the plane to the World Cup.
