After being left out of Manchester City's Club World Cup squad this summer, Jack Grealish could finally depart the club in search of regular game time.

Grealish played just 20 times in the Premier League last season, scoring just once and making just one assist.

According to TEAMtalk, "Everton are getting closer to signing Manchester City star Jack Grealish on a season-long loan, with the 29-year-old now APPROVING a switch to Merseyside."

Is Everton a good fit for Jack Grealish?

Grealish was the main man at Aston Villa, which earned him his transfer to City. He played a key role in City's treble-winning campaign of the 2022/23 season. However, since then, he has not been able to live up to his £100m price tag.

The winger has also lost his place in the England squad and has not featured for the Three Lions since Thomas Tuchel took charge.

With the World Cup taking place in North America next year, Grealish needs to be playing regularly for Tuchel to consider him.

It is an exciting time to join Everton, with the club about to start its inaugural campaign at its new stadium. Grealish will fancy his chances of being a big fish in a small pond at the Toffees, just as he was at Villa.

David Moyes rescued Everton from relegation last season in the Premier League. They eventually finished 13th, so they will be looking to keep the momentum going that Moyes has brought back to the club.
