Arsenal fans are eagerly awaiting Viktor Gyokeres' Premier League debut at Manchester United on August 17.
The Gunners open their 2025/26 campaign with a testing trip to Old Trafford and Gyokeres looks certain to lead Mikel Arteta's attack.
The Swedish international finally completed his £55m transfer move from Sporting CP back in July - as part of package that could rise to £63.5m - as Arteta secured his No.1 striker target.
Gyokeres scored 97 goals in 102 games for Sporting CP, and is tasked with 'solving' Arsenal's striker question this season, but he will need time to adjust to the Premier League pace.
The 27-year-old made his club debut off the bench in the 1-0 preseason friendly loss to Tottenham and landed a first start in a 3-2 defeat to Villarreal.
However, the summer ended on a high, with superb header in the 3-0 win over Athletic Club on August 9 and Arteta hopes that positivity carries over to the United game.

Viktor Gyokeres' debut goal record ahead of Man United clash
Gyokeres infamously never played a single minute of Premier League action during four seasons at Brighton & Hove Albion from 2017 to 2021.
However, his early pattern at clubs since then has caught eye, including spells in the EFL Championship and Portugal.
He spent the first half of 2020/21on loan at Swansea City, followed by a stint at Coventry City, before joining the latter permanently ahead of 2021/22.
That triggered a goal on his debut as a permanent fixture at Coventry, in the opening match of 2021/22, and he repeated the trick in their first game of 2022/23.

He went one better with two goals on his Sporting CP debut in 2023/24, in a 3-2 win over Vizela, and did it again with a goal against Rio Ave in their 2024/25 opener.
A goal on debut for Sporting CP and Coventry - plus a goal on the opening day of his last four seasons - will have the travelling Arsenal fans hopeful of a repeat at Old Trafford.
