Arsenal are “actively looking at options” in the transfer market and could well add more signings to their squad before the transfer window shuts, says manager Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners have already had a busy summer, adding in Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP, Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, Christian Norgaard for Brentford, Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia, and Chelsea duo Noni Madueke and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Their total spending so far has touched around £190m this summer, and Arteta insists that they’re not done yet.
“Let's see what happens, in terms of where the squad is in the next few weeks,” Arteta said.
“But we are actively looking at options. As well, there are a few players that, maybe, they have to leave as well. So, we will be open to see what happens.”
Arsenal wrapped up their preseason with a 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao on Saturday (August 9), with Gyokeres bagging his first goal for the club before Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz added to the tally.

“I am very happy with what I see,” the Spaniard said after the match.
“I think, individually, there was some big performances against a Champions League opponent. It's a good feeling.
“That first goal is always very important and the way he [Gyokeres] took it as well, was really, really good.
“We are developing certain connections with the new players. It was very good. Kai came in and I think the goal he scored was top, as well.”
Who could Arsenal still sign?
It has been an open secret that the Gunners have been after a left-winger to improve their wide options and provide competition to Gabriel Martinelli.
They have been linked with Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, though new boss Xabi Alonso is unlikely to sanction his departure – and even if he did, reports suggest a fee in the region of £85m would be required to secure his services.

Arsenal have also been heavily linked with Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, who, while not a natural left winger, would still offer a much-needed creative outlet to support chief playmaker Martin Odegaard.
Eze’s ability to play both centrally and out wide makes him an appealing option, with Arsenal believed to value him at around £55m.
Fabrizio Romano recently reported that the Gunners have held talks with Eze’s representatives, but no agreement has been reached with Palace.
Arsenal begin their Premier League campaign on August 16 against Manchester United.
