The ball took a leading edge and went towards Pathirana, who was moving towards the ball from deep third. Jadeja, from his usual backward point, ran backwards and missed the Sri Lankan's call to catch the ball and went on to clash against him.

Jadeja, despite taking the catch, spilled the ball due to the collision and Bethell, from 27*(17), went on to score 55(33).
