KL Rahul has been in red-hot form since the start of the Indian Premier League 2025 season. He has played several memorable knocks for his new franchise Delhi Capitals and is now among the top run scorers in the league.
The Karnataka-born batter has rejuvenated himself after going through a rough patch of form in the past couple of years. He has shown the hunger and desire to play aggressively, which has paid massive dividends.

DC star could be picked for Bangladesh tour after IPL 2025 heroics
India are scheduled to tour Bangladesh for a three-match ODI and T20I series, respectively, in August this year. According to TOI, Rahul's form in IPL 2025 season could prompt the selectors to bring back the right-hand batter to the India T20I team after a gap of two-and-a-half years.
KL Rahul last played a T20I for India in November 2022, when India faced a harrowing 10-wicket defeat at the hands of England in the ICC T20 World Cup semi-final.
He scored a meagre 128 runs in that tournament at an average of 21.33, which made the selectors look beyond the 33-year-old wicketkeeper batsman.
However, things have changed in the past six months, as Rahul is back with a bang for his new franchise, Delhi Capitals, in the 18th edition of the IPL.
In DC's previous match against the Gujarat Titans, Rahul smashed an unbeaten 112 off just 65 deliveries. While DC ended up on the losing side with GT comfortably chasing down the target of 200 runs, Rahul's century still made the headlines.

In 11 matches in IPL 2025 thus far, Rahul has accumulated 493 runs with three fifties and a ton already to his name. If Rahul keeps up with this form, he is a sure-shot candidate for the no. 4 or 5 role in upcoming matches for the Indian national team.
The Karnataka batter was instrumental in India's recent ICC Champions Trophy triumph too, where he scored 140 runs in five matches to help the Men in Blue lift the trophy after 12 years.
