The final decision on venues is still pending. Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad were earlier shortlisted to host the remainder of the matches.

However, the BCCI will only proceed after further discussions with the government and other stakeholders. IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal confirmed the board’s intent to restart swiftly.

“Ceasefire has just been announced. We now explore the possibility of resuming and concluding the IPL… We would now be speaking to all the stakeholders, including team owners, broadcasters, and everyone involved and find a way as to how to move forward. Most importantly, we will have to consult with the government,” Dhumal told The Indian Express.

When will the new IPL schedule be released?

As per the IE report, the revised IPL 2025 schedule is expected to be out by Sunday night. The final of the competition could be postponed to May 30 instead of May 25 now.
