The IPL sees a footfall of over 200 foreigners every season, including players, support staff, match officials, TV crew and cheerleaders hailing from major cricket-playing nations except Pakistan.

It is reported that the board and the franchises are working overtime to send the players back home safely amid rising tensions in the country.

Players from the already eliminated teams from this year's comeptition could be the first ones to be moved back home.

Since their teams do not have a chance to play post the regular season, it does not pose a big problem for either the team or the player, except in the case of not fulfilling contracts.

With the league suspended for a week, it remains a concern as when the league will be resumed, but more importantly as the host country, BCCI and the franchises bear responsibility to help the players reach back home safely.
