How RCB overtook CSK and MI to become the most valuable IPL franchise in 2025
RCB’s brand value has gone from $227 million in 2024 to $269 million in 2025. That’s a big jump. And it happened right after their big win in the IPL 2025 final against Punjab Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The victory finally ended their title drought and gave their brand a serious push.
With this, RCB has now gone ahead of Mumbai Indians, who are at $242 million, and Chennai Super Kings, who now sit at $235 million.
Even though they lost the final, Punjab Kings (PBKS) still gained a lot as their brand went up nearly 40%, thanks to good performance and smart moves off the field.

What caused IPL 2025’s value to surge to $18.5 billion
The rise in IPL’s value isn’t only because of one team. According to the latest report, the IPL's enterprise value went up by nearly 13% this year. The brand value of the league itself reached $3.9 billion.
One big reason is Sponsorship deals. BCCI earned nearly ₹1,500 crore from associate sponsors like My11Circle, RuPay, CEAT, and Angel One. And the Tata Group signed a five-year deal again as the title sponsor, paying ₹2,500 crore.
The opening weekend of IPL 2025 had over 1,370 million views on JioHotstar alone. And the final between RCB and PBKS got 67.8 crore views. On Star Sports, about 253 million people watched. Altogether, fans spent around 50 billion minutes watching this IPL.
People love IPL not just for cricket, but also for the fun, the stars, and the excitement. It has now become a global product, and that’s why the money is flowing in.
