How did Liverpool vs Bournemouth unfold?
The match itself was filled with drama and raw emotions. Liverpool won 4-2 with the help of goals from Hugo Ekitike, Cody Gakpo, Federico Chiesa and Mohamed Salah.
Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo scored two goals to bring the visitors level but late strikes from Liverpool sealed it for them.
The night was also about remembering Diogo Jota, who tragically lost his life in July.
The Kop stood together with touching tributes, banners, and chants that echoed through the ground. Mohamed Salah even broke down after re-creating Jota’s famous “Baby Shark” celebration.
For Liverpool supporters, this opener was not just a football match. It was a collective farewell and celebration of a player they loved.
