The Indian cricket team has received a huge boost ahead of the Asia Cup 2025 next month, as captain Suryakumar Yadav has successfully cleared his fitness Test and is all set to lead the Men in Blue in their title defence, according to the Indian Express.
SKY underwent the fitness Test at the Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru. The Mumbai Indians star underwent surgery for a lower-right abdomen hernia in Munich in June.

The India T20I captain has fully recovered now, following the fitness and is now scheduled to attend the team selection meeting in Mumbai, which will be held on Tuesday, August 19.
A source close to the BCCI told IE, "He has cleared his fitness and will be available to captain the Indian team during the Asia Cup. He was at the COE till a few days ago, where he underwent a rehab programme and has now been declared fit. He will be attending the Indian team selection meeting."

The Indian selection committee, led by the chairman of selectors and former bowler Ajit Agarkar, will meet on Tuesday, August 19, to announce the team for the Asia Cup 2025.
