Two days after the third Test concluded at Lord's, where England beat India by 22 runs in a closely fought game to take a 2-1 lead in the ongoing five-match series, a video emerged on social and went viral where Royal Challengers Bengaluru wicket-keeper Jitesh Sharma was denied entry at the 'Home of Cricket'.
In the video, Sharma can be seen introducing himself as Jitesh Sharma, an Indian cricketer, to the security personnel and yet he was being denied entry.
The X handles, who shared the video, claimed that Sharma was allowed at the main entrance of the ground, which many deemed as insulting for a cricketer of his stature, who has played in the Indian Premier League with distinction.
