Former India Test player and captain Virat Kohli reacted to India's historic win over England in the fifth and final Test at the Oval on Monday as the series ended in a 2-2 draw.

Mohammed Siraj guided India to a six-run win from the jaws of defeat on the final day of the Test as the fast bowler picked up a brilliant fifer.

Siraj was ably supported by fellow fast bowler Prasidh Krishna, who put forward a valuable contribution in India's epic victory.

Harry Brook and Joe Root's 195-run partnership had almost put England on the podium as at one point, the hosts needed just 73 runs to win with seven wickets still in hand.

However, Siraj's fifer cleaned up the English tail on Day 5 as India registered a six-run win and drew level in the series.

The two Indian pacers' contribution was duly acknowledged by former skipper Kohli, who heaped praise on the Indian team and congratulated them for the victory of the English in a difficult away tour.
