The Tamil Nadu Premier League is back, and cricket lovers across the state are ready for another month of thrilling T20 matches.
The 2025 season marks the ninth chapter of this tournament, and the action will begin on Thursday, June 5. With the IPL wrapped up, TNPL is set to take over the spotlight.
Eight teams will take part in this season. Last year’s champions, Dindigul Dragons, will start the tournament with a clash against Lyca Kovai Kings, who fell short in the previous final.

When does the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2025 start?
The 2025 edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League begins on June 5 and will conclude on July 6.
What is the format of the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2025?
The TNPL 2025 season will see a total of 32 matches played. All eight participating teams will take on each other once in a round-robin format during the league stage.
After this, the top four teams on the points table will qualify for the playoffs, which will include Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2, and the final to decide the champion.
