With the ball, Matt Henry picked up a fifer in the first innings, while Zakary Foulkes grabbed five wickets in the second innings to decimate the Chevrons.
With the massive win in the second match of the series, New Zealand etched their names in the history books as they registered the third biggest win margin by an innings in Tests.
England still occupy the top slot in the list, having beaten Australia by 579 runs and an innings in 1938 at the Oval. The second slot belongs to Australia, who had beaten South Africa in 2002 by 360 runs.
