India's ace speedster Jasprit Bumrah was one of the four players that India replaced from the playing XI of the fifth Test at the Oval.
After having played the advised three Tests of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, Bumrah finished his series without any discomfort as the joint-highest wicket-taker for India in the series.

Jasprit Bumrah released from the Indian squad
Ahead of the start of Day 2 at the Oval, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released an official statement to announce his release.
"Mr Jasprit Bumrah has been released from India’s squad for the fifth Test of the series against England," read the release.
With the green top at the Oval, the pacer would also be unavailable for his teammates, Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep and Prasidh Krishna to share his inputs and observations.

Earlier this year, he had broken down after a long Australia series that kept him out for several months.
"The strength and conditioning coaches can set the workload threshold for each player, but Bumrah's availability should depend on his fitness, assessed by the medical team," said the seemingly disappointed BCCI source.
It is also reported that there could be a policy in place to only consider the bowler for selection if he is available for the entire series.
After playing three Tests, Bumrah finishes his series with a five-wicket haul at Headingley and Lord's.
