Former India and Chennai Super Kings batter Kedar Jadhav has expressed strong opposition to the marquee contest in the upcoming Asia Cup 2025. Speaking in an interview, he said India should completely avoid playing against Pakistan in the tournament.
"I think the Indian team should not play at all. As far as India is concerned, I think that wherever India plays, it will always win, but this match should not be played at all, and they will not play. I can say this with confidence. Operation Sindoor is a hit, it is successful," Jadhav said.

His comments come just weeks before India's opening match in Group A where they are drawn alongside Oman, UAE and Pakistan. Jadhav is not the only former cricketer to make such a demand.
Earlier, legendary spinner Harbhajan Singh told TimesofIndia.com that India should refuse to face Pakistan in the Asia Cup. He argued that "nation comes first" and that cricketing ties should not take precedence over the sacrifices of soldiers at the border.
