Despite the physical demands of playing every match, the 31-year-old pacer says it’s pure love for the country that keeps him going.

What motivates Mohammed Siraj to keep pushing on the field?

Speaking to the media on Monday, Siraj didn’t talk about stats or strategy. Instead, he spoke from the heart. He said that simply wearing the Indian jersey gives him all the motivation he needs to give it everything on the field.

“There’s no real secret. When you play for your country, that in itself is the biggest motivation,” Siraj shared.

“Representing the nation gives me all the energy I need. My only aim is to give 100% on the field so that when I go back and rest at night, I don’t have regrets like ‘I could’ve done this’ or ‘I missed that.’ Results can go either way, but I must always give my best.” he added.

How important is Siraj for India ahead of the 4th Test?

India are trailing the series 1-2, and Manchester becomes a must-win for Shubman Gill’s side if they want to stay alive. Siraj will likely lead the attack again, just like he has throughout the series.

His performances have not only been consistent but also inspiring. Siraj has shown tremendous control, aggression, and determination in challenging conditions.

As the pressure builds heading into the penultimate match of the five-Test series, Siraj’s focused mindset and national pride could prove crucial for India’s comeback hopes.
