India's likely playing XI vs England third Test at Lord's
India's ace pacer and the leader of India's bowling attack, Bumrah is all set to be return for the 3rd Test at Lord's. Bumrah was rested from the 2nd Test as part of the pre-decided workload management plan.
The Indian skipper, Shubman Gill confirmed Bumrah's availability for the third Test during the post-match interview after India's win at Edgbaston, saying: "Definitely!"
Who will Jasprit Bumrah replace in playing XI for Lord's Test?
Prasidh is expected to make way for the returning Bumrah. The former, who is likely to be replaced, has been on the expensive end in the first two Tests and has not managed to pick up wickets regularly either.
He had figures of 3/128, 2/92, 0/72, and 1/39 across the four innings, with an economy of 5.33 and an average of 62.
With Siraj and Akashdeep being the only alternative options who starred with crucial wickets in the Edgbaston win, the Indian management might be forced to exclude Prasidh from the eleven.
India's bowling attack can also see some other changes as the pitch at Lord's tends to favour bowlers and in particular, pacers. Nitish Reddy or Washington Sundar could make way for Shardul Thakur, but it remains to be seen if Gautam Gambhir will shift away from the core winning combination.
