Lucknow Supergiants' mystery spinner Digvesh Rathi grabbed the limelight during the Indian Premier League 2025 due to his unique, yet controversial celebrations after scalping a wicket.
Rathi first brought out the unique celebration in LSG's clash against PBKS in April, where he scribbled on his hand, using it as an imaginary notebook before gesturing a send-off with his finger to Priyansh Arya.

He performed a similar celebration against MI after picking up Naman Dhir's wicket, and on both occasions, the BCCI fined the bowler heavily.
And it seems Rathi's antics have not stopped, as he recently got embroiled in a controversy during a Delhi Premier League 2025 clash.

DPL 2025: LSG's Digvesh Rathi involved in on-field clash
The spinner is representing South Delhi Superstarz in DPL 2025 and they were facing West Delhi Lions in match 7 of the competition.
As the Lions were given a target of 186 runs, Rathi came into bowl in the fifth over. As he went to bowl a delivery, the spinner at first paused and it was given a dead ball. In his second attempt, as he was about to deliver the ball, the opponent opener, Ankit Kumar, left his stance due to an issue.
This time, Rathi lost his cool and confronted the batter, before hurling abuses at him. Kumar did not respond immediately, but he let his bat do the talking as he hit back-to-back sixes.
