The Las Vegas Raiders have been connected to a trade with the Miami Dolphins for wide receiver Tyreek Hill, but it could cost the team one of their promising young playmakers.

Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski proposes a trade that would send Hill to Las Vegas and a return of tight end Michael Mayer, a 2026 fifth-round pick, and a 2027 seventh-round pick to Miami.

Hill to Sin City makes a lot of sense. Hill can immediately enter the lineup as the clear WR1 without every taking a practice snap with the squad.

In return, the Dolphins should be intrigued by adding the 24-year-old Mayer, especially after trading Jonnu Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Hill has been thrown into trade rumors once again, as ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported on SportsCenter recently that teams are monitoring the superstar receiver's situation with the Dolphins for a potential trade.

"I have talked to a few teams who are at least monitoring his future a little bit," Fowler said on SportsCenter (h/t New York Post).

Immediately after Miami's Week 18 loss to the New York Jets, which ended their 2024 campaign, Hill basically stated that he wanted to play for a new team in 2025. Since then, his long-term future with the franchise has been surrounded with uncertainty.

If the Dolphins decide to move on from Hill, the Raiders would be a logical landing spot. The eight-time Pro Bowler would step in as the No.1 receiver in Chip Kelly's offense and provide quarterback Geno Smith with a speedy playmaker on the perimeter.

Hill had a down year for his standards in 2024, posting 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns. However, the 31-year-old is still an All-Pro talent and would be a difference-maker for a Las Vegas squad that has playoff aspirations in 2025.

Trading away Mayer in a package that would land would be worth it for the Raiders, as Brock Bowers is already locked in as the franchise's long-term tight end. Bowers had an All-Pro rookie season in 2024 with 112 receptions and 1,194 receiving yards.

The Dolphins will likely keep Hill on the roster heading into the 2025 season, but don't rule out the possibility of Miami trading the future Hall of Famer at the deadline if they're struggling by then. Las Vegas could emerge as a top landing spot if Carroll's squad is one star receiver away from playoff contention.
