The Houston Texans are coming off two consecutive seasons in which they won the AFC South and won a playoff game in each season. They turned things around immediately after drafting star quarterback C.J. Stroud, who instantly turned into one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
For the Texans to be able to get over the hump in the AFC and get past the divisional round, they need Stroud to be on top of his game and healthy, which is why the most recent update from OTAs is a bit concerning.
Per Aaron Wilson, Stroud is dealing with muscle tightness in his shoulder and the Texans are taking "extra precautions" with him.
Stroud was the second-most sacked quarterback in 2024, which was a concern in it of itself. Houston then traded left tackle Laremy Tunsil, and made a load of questionable moves when it came to replenishing the offensive line. With Stroud already dealing with a shoulder issue, this is not a great omen for the 2025 season.
