The Green Bay Packers are at the point in training camp where the main goal is simply to make it through without any major injuries. Unfortunately, quarterback Jordan Love is dealing with a minor thumb injury that will sideline him for a short period. ESPN Milwaukee’s Kyle Wallace expressed frustration about Love getting hurt once again.

“I love me some Jordan Love, I do, but somebody’s got to say it. He is injury prone. Jordan Love is an injury prone quarterback,” Wallace said. “He’s been injured two out of the three seasons that he’s been here in Green Bay. It is a concerning trend that I have.”

On Tuesday, the Packers suffered two more scares as tight end Luke Musgrave and wide receiver Romeo Doubs both went down with injuries — two critical pieces of the offense. Musgrave appeared to injure his ankle after making a touchdown catch.

“To make matters worse, tight end Luke Musgrave, moments after a nice touchdown catch, appeared to injure his ankle at the end of practice,” Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

For Doubs, it looked like a back injury, which was a bit more concerning, as he had to go to the Hutson Center for further evaluation.

“Romeo Doubs is down. Small collision with Evan Williams on a deep incompletion and Doubs hit the ground. Very, very slow to get up. Appears to be his lower back,” The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman wrote.

It feels like the offense has been on the wrong end of the injury bug lately. Fortunately, both players seem to have avoided serious issues, according to a Wednesday update.

“Seems both Romeo Doubs and Luke Musgrave are OK after injury scares yesterday,” Packers Wire’s Zach Kruse wrote.

This is welcome news for Green Bay, as neither injury appears to be long-term. Doubs staying healthy is especially important for a wide receiver room already dealing with injuries. Musgrave, meanwhile, continues to be a key contributor at tight end. Once again, the Packers appear to have dodged a major setback on the injury front.
