The Cincinnati Bengals have been in a months-long standoff with star edge rusher Trey Hendrickson. The 2024 sack leader originally held out of training camp, but then reported while still holding in. However, it is being reported that the Bengals are now listening to trade offers for their top defender, citing lack of progress in contract talks.
What surprised many people is that the Browns were listed as a team that are among suitors for the superstar edge rusher.
The Panthers, Browns and Colts are among the teams that have shown interest in trading for Bengals All-Pro Trey Hendrickson, per multiple sources." Jordan Schultz reports. "An in-division and in-state trade is highly unlikely and any deal will be tough regardless. Cincinnati is believed to want an impact player (or two) plus a draft pick in return."
Should the Browns offer a high enough bid for Hendrickson, such as a second-round pick, a fourth-round pick, and Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, it could be enough to outbid other teams and have the Bengals pull the trigger on the AFC North inter-division trade.
