The Buffalo Bills have been one of the best teams in the NFL for the last half decade. However, they have fallen short when it comes to reaching the Super Bowl, in large part because of the Kansas City Chiefs. The Bills are averaging over 28 points per game in their four playoff matchups against the Chiefs, but have lost all four games due to their defense coming up short.
Because of this, ESPN's Dan Graziano proposes a blockbuster trade involving the Bills and Bengals where Buffalo would send a second-round pick to Cincinnati in exchange for edge rusher Trey Hendrickson.
"With offseason pickup Joey Bosa already injured, this move would help the Bills' pass rush add a stronger, healthier option," Graziano writes. "Hendrickson might not get the new contract of his dreams, but perhaps Bills general manager Brandon Beane could sell him on an improved chance to get to the Super Bowl."
Should the Bills be able to acquire Hendrickson, that could be the final piece to finally put them over the top and get to the Super Bowl. I'd go even further than Graziano - the Bills should offer a first-round pick for Hendrickson. They are one of those teams who should value proven stars over draft capital - they need to win and do it soon. Send a first-round pick for Hendrickson and put yourselves in the drivers seat for when you inevitably face Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in the playoffs again.
