The Atlanta Falcons are set to do more than chase a playoff berth in 2025 — they’ll be circling the globe to do it.
According to Bill Speros, the Falcons will travel 25,947 miles this upcoming season, ranking them among the NFL’s top teams in total mileage. That marks a significant jump from 2024, when Atlanta covered just 12,416 miles and finished in the bottom five league-wide.
A major reason for the spike? Playing in one of the NFL's seven international games.
Atlanta is scheduled to play in the NFL’s first-ever game in Berlin, Germany. The Falcons will face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10 at the historic Olympiastadion — marking the league’s debut in the German capital after previously holding games in Munich and Frankfurt.
That trip alone will push Atlanta through 28 different time zones over the course of the 2025 regular season — double the total they dealt with last year.

In addition to the long-haul travel to Germany, the Falcons have road matchups against far-flung opponents such as the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, and New England Patriots, adding even more wear and tear to their schedule.
