Hewitt's result comes 23 years after his father, Lleyton, claimed the men's singles title at the All-England Club.
His maiden Wimbledon victory is the latest milestone in his young career.
Earlier this year, he made his senior grand slam debut after earning a wildcard into Australian Open qualifying.
He lost in the first round, but went on to reach the second round of the boys' singles draw.
Hewitt currently holds a junior ranking of 44 and an ATP ranking of 827.
