After Jayden Campbell reportedly halted contract talks with the Gold Coast Titans, suddenly the NRL's open market has become a lot more interesting.
The talented halfback, off-contract at the end of 2026, has caught the eye of several rival clubs - and even the league's latest expansion franchise.
The son of legendary Indigenous playmaker Preston Campbell, Jayden has firmly established himself as the Titans' go-to attacking weapon this season.
With the ability to play at fullback, five-eighth and halfback, Campbell is the kind of versatile weapon that becomes invaluable when building out a top-30 roster.
But with the Titans yet to renew the 25-year-old's deal, his future on the Gold Coast is no longer certain.
The Sporting News breaks down which clubs should be entering the Jayden Campbell sweepstakes come November 1.

Which clubs should be in the race to sign Jayden Campbell?
South Sydney Rabbitohs
The Rabbitohs, when healthy, have the roster to compete with any side in the competition.
One of the only holes in their top-30 is the lack of a genuine franchise halfback.
With Cody Walker's contract set to expire at season's end, Campbell becomes an enticing option to create a new-look dynamic duo with Latrell Mitchell in Redfern.
Perth Bears
The Bears want to hit the ground running when they enter the competition in 2027, and part of that is recruiting exciting playmakers to the club.
Campbell's youth, skill and star pedigree make him the perfect fit for an expansion franchise looking to break into a new market.
Cronulla Sharks
If the Sharks don't make a deep finals push this season with the roster they have, powerbrokers in the Shire may be looking toward an offseason overhaul.
With Will Kennedy in the final year of his deal, the Sharks could look at getting younger at the fullback position by bringing in Campbell.
Parramatta Eels
Parramatta having interest in Campbell would also make sense.
The Eels are building a young core around their centrepiece Mitchell Moses, but need a strong co-star following Dylan Brown's exit to the Knights.
Campbell would be in competition with Dean Hawkins and Joash Papalii, who would both have a 12-month head start on him to earn the five-eighth jersey.
However, Campbell's dynamic style would be a perfect fit in a side that thrives on fast ball movement and creativity.
