Victor Radley remains a live chance of lining up for the Sydney Roosters on Saturday night, despite nursing a shoulder injury that initially ruled him out of the club’s previous fixture.

Named in jersey No.22, the 27-year-old has held his place in the extended squad following Friday’s 24-hour team update ahead of the clash against Manly at 4 Pines Park.

While still needing a final medical green light, Roosters coach Trent Robinson didn’t rule out the possibility of Radley taking the field.

“He’s been touch-and-go this week,” Robinson told reporters on Thursday. “He’s progressing better than expected. He’s heading in the right direction and we want to make sure he’s 100% right.”

Radley picked up the knock late in the Round 20 win over the Sharks and missed the Storm game. Though not considered serious, the club has been cautious, especially with Radley’s recent concussion history still fresh in the minds of many.

Smith and Savala return, Manly forced into reshuffle

The Roosters will be boosted by the return of Billy Smith and Hugo Savala, both recovering from concussion and wrist setbacks, respectively.

Their inclusions bump Ethan King to 18th man, while Sandon Smith remains sidelined under head injury protocols.

Manly, meanwhile, are without Haumole Olakau’atu due to a shoulder issue of his own. Corey Waddell will start in the second row, and Jake Simpkin returns to the bench following a spell out with a concussion.
