Tyson Frizell is set to play with the Newcastle Knights for the 2026 season, after extending his contract for one more year.
At 33, the veteran forward shows no signs of slowing down despite a long and accomplished career.

Recently, Frizell celebrated his 100th game for the Knights, which has turned out to be a significant portion of his 276 game NRL career.
Knights' recruitment chief Peter O'Sullivan highlighted the importance of Frizell's experience for their roster.
"His experience, energy, and work ethic will be vital for the emerging edge players and several new middles we have joining the club," he said in a statement released by the club on Monday.
"Tyson is in terrific condition; despite playing and training with such velocity for over 15 years, his longevity is a testament to his true professionalism.
"With the ability to play middle and edge forward, he gives the squad a strong balance."
With 16 State of Origin appearances and international caps for three nations, Frizell's presence in the locker room will be invaluable for this Knights roster in 2026.
Though retirement was once considered as an option, Frizell's decision to stay adds to the trend of Knights veterans reloading for next year.
Dane Gagai recently re-signed with the club and Kalyn Ponga confirmed his commitment to bringing a premiership to the Hunter in a social media post in July.
Frizell's extension further cements Newcastle's focus on winning now, as the club eyes a deep finals push in 2026.
