Tui Kamikamica could be nearing the end of his NRL career, with the Melbourne Storm forward now attracting interest from the English Super League amid a tightening salary cap at his current club.
Melbourne are keen to retain the 31-year-old but simply can’t squeeze him under the cap. Big-money deals and looming upgrades have put the Storm under pressure as they plan for the arrival of expansion outfits Perth Bears in 2027 and Papua New Guinea in 2028, clubs they know will be circling their depth.
Kamikamica, who has played 126 games for the Storm, has already seen potential deals with South Sydney and Brisbane fall through.
While the Rabbitohs pulled out several weeks ago, the Broncos were reportedly offered the prop by his management recently but chose not to pursue the move.

Super League move looms as Warrington eye reinforcements
The most serious interest now appears to be coming from the UK.
News Corp reports that Warrington Wolves head coach Sam Burgess is keen to bring Kamikamica to England, with the Super League club ready to spend and holding open quota spots.
The Fijian international may still end up with a one-year deal in either hemisphere before the Perth Bears arrive, but whether he’s willing to take a pay cut to stay in Melbourne remains unclear.
If not, he could be one of the first NRL players to head overseas ahead of a major reshuffle in the Australian game.
