Te Maire Martin is reportedly set to re-sign with the New Zealand Warriors for the 2026 season.
The New Zealand Herald is reporting that the Warriors playmaker will stay put, signing a one-year extension to remain at the Auckland-based club.

It is understood that the decision comes despite interest from other NRL teams and overseas outfits, and despite Martin having to accept a pay cut to stay.
For much of the season, Martin has struggled to crack the Warriors starting lineup, often starting from the bench rather than in his regular halves role.
The 29-year-old has represented the Kiwi's internationally and also played for the Maori All Stars.
His NRL career began with the Panthers back in 2016, followed by stints with the Cowboys and Broncos before landing with the Warriors.
At the Cowboys, he played in the 2017 grand final, scoring his side's only try against the Storm.
Martin famously returned to the sport in 2022 after a life-threatening brain bleed forced his retirement in 2020.
Known for his ability to take on the defensive line, he will provide cover for the regular starting halves duo of Luke Metcalf and Chanel Harris-Tevita.
Family proximity was reportedly a major factor in his decision to remain in New Zealand, as was the chance to compete for consistent first grade minutes.
The Warriors still have four vacant spots in their top-30 for 2026, with Harris-Tevita and Tanah Boyd yet to confirm their options.
With 105 NRL games to his name, Martin's experience could prove to be crucial as the Warriors continue to get used to playing in September on a consistent basis.
