Kickoff for Game 1 is officially scheduled for 8:05 pm AEST on Wednesday, May 28.
However, the match is likely to get underway a few minutes later following an Acknowledgement of Country and singing of the Australian national anthem.
Where is Origin Game 1 being played?
Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane will host this year's Origin opener.
Queensland boast a commanding 44-25 all-time record at home, and will look to claim a crucial early series lead this time around.
However, NSW remain the slim bookies' favourites for the clash, and are hopeful of making the perfect start under the guidance of new coach Laurie Daley.

All three Origin matches this year will be broadcast exclusively on Channel 9.
