Manly Sea Eagles are reportedly in discussions with Canterbury Bulldogs hooker Jake Turpin as they look to bolster their dummy-half stocks. According to News Corp, the 28-year-old has emerged as a target with Lachlan Croker facing ongoing concerns over repeated concussions.

Turpin has struggled for minutes at Belmore, managing only seven games across the past two seasons since arriving from the Sydney Roosters.

With his contract set to wind down, a shift to the Northern Beaches in 2026 appears increasingly likely.

Experience on offer, Wilson set to depart

Having clocked more than 80 NRL appearances and stints at Melbourne Storm and Brisbane Broncos earlier in his career, Turpin would bring both experience and depth to a Sea Eagles side planning for the long term.

Meanwhile, Manly are also set to secure another Bulldog, with winger Blake Wilson agreeing a two-year deal from 2026. The 24-year-old, a Noosa Pirates junior, has featured 27 times in first grade but is searching for more consistency and opportunity.

Back in May, Wilson told Zero Tackle: “I want to stay. I love the club and I love all the boys and the supporters are great as well. If I can stay, I definitely want to stay... I love how we train, and it’s everything I want to be a part of.”

Wilson will have to battle a stacked backline that includes Tom Trbojevic, Reuben Garrick and Jason Saab once he arrives at Manly.
