Lachlan Galvin may depart the Wests Tigers early.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the club is "poised" to grant the young playmaker "permission to negotiate with rival clubs".

It comes following a board meeting on Monday.

Further, News Corp has reported that Galvin and his agent are currently discussing the terms of an immediate release.

This could see him head to the open market before June 30.

In April, the 19-year-old announced he would leave the Tigers when his contract expires at the end of 2026.

He was reportedly previously offered a five-year, $5 million contract extension, which he and his agent turned down.

Galvin was then dropped from the joint-venture's NRL side for Round 7, but returned to first-grade the following week.

According to the aforementioned reports, there are set to be conditions attached to the negotiations.

The Tigers are seeking a transfer fee or player in exchange for releasing Galvin, per News Corp

Despite the potentially tricky nature of a deal, there is "optimism" a resolution can be reached "as early as this week".

Another notable condition will be Galvin's team "reconsidering" their legal case against the joint-venture, via SMH.

Allegations of bullying against the half were made in the days following his decision to run out his contract.
