Pat Carrigan has been moved to the bench for Game 2 of State of Origin.
The Queensland forward was considered a shoo-in for the No. 13 jersey, but will start the match in Perth on the pine.
Maroons coach Billy Slater has instead named Trent Loiero as the starting lock.
The 24-year-old, who plies his trade in the NRL for Melbourne, made his Origin debut in last month's opener.

In 36 minutes off the bench, Loiero recorded 62 run metres, nine hit-ups and 30 tackles.
He is set to be given an opportunity to make an impact from the get-go in Game 2.
Carrigan, however, is still likely to spend the majority of the match on the field.
The Broncos star is one of Queensland's most impactful and reliable players.
His benching is seemingly in response to New South Wales' physical interchange.
Connor Watson, Spencer Leniu, Hudson Young and Stefano Utoikamanu will make up a commanding Blues' pine in Perth.
Carrigan could be utilised as a fresh addition to minimise their impact.
Slater may also re-adjust his starting side come matchday.
