Hollywood actor and longtime South Sydney Rabbitohs backer Russell Crowe has reportedly rejected a $10 million offer for his 25 per cent stake in the NRL club – signalling he's in no hurry to sell unless the price is right.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the Oscar-winning actor is holding out for a significantly higher valuation of the club, reportedly seeking $20 million for his quarter share – double the original offer.
While Crowe hasn’t publicly confirmed his asking price or intentions to sell, the latest reports align with earlier claims from January suggesting that the actor is looking to offload his stake in the club he helped revive.
However, when rumours of a potential sale emerged earlier this year, the 61-year-old was quick to shut them down, dismissing the speculation as “bulls***".

"Just tell them all it's bulls***, and advise them to enjoy the summer sun," Crowe said in a statement to AAP.
The Gladiator star purchased his stake in the Rabbitohs in 2006, teaming up with businessman Peter Holmes à Court to acquire a controlling interest in the club for $3 million.
Today, the Rabbitohs' ownership is evenly split between Crowe, casino mogul James Packer, tech billionaire Mike Cannon-Brookes, and the Souths members themselves.
