The Dragons have confirmed that Moses Suli’s knee injury is not as serious as first feared, with the centre expected to be back in action by Round 27.
The 26-year-old picked up the knock during the side’s recent campaign but is now set to return before the finals, offering a welcome boost to Shane Flanagan’s depleted squad.
Suli has been a mainstay in the Dragons’ backline this year, and his availability will come as relief with the club currently managing an extensive casualty ward. Alongside long-term absentees, the Red V lost Jack de Belin, Hamish Stewart and Hame Sele to head knocks in Auckland last week, forcing Flanagan to reshuffle ahead of Thursday’s clash with South Sydney.

A key figure in Dragons’ attack
While the injury list continues to grow, Suli’s recovery timeline means he should only miss one more round before making his return.
The powerful ball-runner has been central to the Dragons’ go-forward this season, consistently troubling defences with his ability to break tackles and create space out wide.
The club has Suli pencilled in for Round 27, just in time to tune up before the business end of the campaign. For a side currently sitting 12th, his presence could prove vital if the Dragons are to mount a late charge.
With Ben Murdoch-Masila handed his first NRL appearance of 2025 at lock and youngster Jacob Halangahu earning a maiden start, Flanagan has had to balance promise with experience.
