Lachlan Galvin is set to depart the Wests Tigers.

Fresh reports indicate an early exit – potentially before the end of June – is on the cards.

At the latest, he will leave once his contract runs out at the end of the 2026 season.

Galvin is set to have several teams interested in his services, with the young playmaker likely to start negotiating with rival clubs shortly.

The Sporting News outlines some early contenders for the 19-year-old's signature.

Lachlan Galvin next club: Possible contenders

Parramatta Eels

With their current five-eighth Dylan Brown set to join the Knights in 2026, there will be a vacancy for Galvin at the Eels.

Parramatta are considered one of the main contenders for his signature, per News Corp.

Notably, halfback Mitchell Moses would be an ideal veteran mentor

In April, Galvin liked a comment from a fan urging him to come into Parramatta, before later unliking it.

It's likely an innocent action, but could be a hint nonetheless.

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs

Matt Burton and Toby Sexton are currently the side's first-choice playmaking pair, although the latter is off-contract at the end of 2025, which could enable the arrival of a new half at the in-form club.

News Corp have also named the Bulldogs as one of the most likely destinations for the teenagers.

Team boss Phil Gould hasn't completely ruled out signing Galvin but says the club has "other plans" at this stage.

"We've got other plans at the Bulldogs. We've got a pathway system and kids coming through," he said on 100% Footy in April.

"Never in my wildest imagination would I have thought a Lachlan Galvin would ever come on the market.

"I've got kids they're that are in the embryo stage of their career and we're developing them as well."

Sydney Roosters

It's no secret that the Roosters are on the hunt for another half.

The Tricolours have somewhat struggled with playmaking this season (although they have made improvements) as they await the return of the injured Sam Walker.

Galvin would slot nicely next to Walker and form an exciting long-term duo in Bondi.

St George Illawarra Dragons

As the Dragons continue their quest to return to the top eight, their halves could be the next focus area.

The bulk of their squad comes off contract at the end of 2026, potentially freeing up some salary cap room for Galvin.

Shane Flanagan's recent recruitment suggests he prefers experienced talent, but there are plenty of reasons to believe the 19-year-old is the right choice.

When will Lachlan Galvin leave the Tigers?

The Tigers emphasised in their statement in April that they had "no intention" of releasing Galvin from his current contract before the end of 2026.

They also stated that the playmaker has not asked for an early release, either.

However, it appears things have changed.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the club is "poised" to grant the young playmaker "permission to negotiate with rival clubs".

Galvin and his agent are currently discussing the terms of an immediate release, which could see him head to the open market before June 30.
