Jarome Luai's father, Martin Luai, has responded after posting an eyebrow-raising story on Instagram.
The now-deleted post was made after Luai's Tigers suffered a 64-0 loss to the Storm on Sunday.
It referenced the reported get-out clause in the playmaker's contract.
"Get out clause activated," Martin wrote, along with sideways eyes and face-palming emojis.

Luai's five-year deal with the joint venture reportedly includes a player option, potentially allowing him to negotiate with rival clubs from November 1 this year.
His father has since made a statement to Nine addressing the Instagram story.
Martin has labelled it "a bit of banter between family and friends".
"Somehow [the post] got into the hands of media, who screenshot it and sent it to Romey's management," he said.
"I was told about it - not from anyone from the club - and, on my own accord, as I was made aware of the media's intentions to make it public, I removed it from socials."

Luai spoke on reports of a get-out clause in his contract in January.
"When it came out [in the media], I hadn't even played a game in the colours yet, and I'm already getting spoken about. But I'm used to that already and it doesn't faze me at all," he said.
"I've got a point to prove here, not to anyone else but to myself, and I want to see what I can do on the field with these boys."
