David Fifita will make his long-awaited return to the NRL this Sunday, named on the bench for the Titans in their Macca’s Local Derby clash against the Broncos at Cbus Super Stadium.
It marks the end of a frustrating lay-off for the Queensland Origin forward, who hasn’t played since Round 8 following ankle surgery. Now fully fit, Fifita will line up against the very club where he first made his name, adding extra spice to a contest that rarely needs any.
The 24-year-old's return comes as a timely boost for Des Hasler’s side, who also welcome back Jayden Campbell after he missed Round 17 due to concussion.

Elsewhere, the NRL will also welcome back a host of familiar faces in Round 19, with Sam Walker cleared for his Roosters comeback after a frustrating string of setbacks since his ACL injury last year.
Ben Hunt is also back for Brisbane after six weeks out with a hamstring strain, while the Knights regain both Greg Marzhew and Leo Thompson.
In the injury ward, Souths hooker Brandon Smith has been dealt another cruel blow. Having finally returned from a near-year-long absence, Smith limped off late against Manly with what coach Wayne Bennett confirmed as a fresh medial ligament issue.
"He's done a medial ligament," Bennett said. "He'll be 6–8 weeks from that tackle. I think he's happy because it's only 6–8 weeks. It's been eight months, so he can see the light at the end of the tunnel this time."
Fifita, however, is back, and just in time to reignite his season.
