Bronson Garlick will join the Rabbitohs on a two-year deal from the start of the next season, seeing him link up the club his father Sean captained.
The 29-year-old has played 33 first-grade games, all with Melbourne, since debuting in 2023.
A utility forward, Garlick has played most of his football at hooker for the Storm.

Upon the announcement of the signing, South Sydney recruitment chief Mark Ellison spoke about the late bloomer's journey to first grade.
“Bronson has been a bit of a journeyman over his career but he has found his way back home to the Rabbitohs for the next two years and we could not be happier to have him coming home,” Ellison said.
“He brings over 150 games of senior football experience to us and can play hooker, second row or middle, so he also gives us versatility.
“He comes from a great family - his father Sean had the opportunity to captain the club and his brother Jackson also played - and we can’t wait to have him back in the fold with us over the next two seasons.
“We wish Bronson all the best for the remainder of the season with the Storm and we look forward to him returning to us for pre-season training later this year.”
With Siliva Havili currently unsigned beyond this year, Garlick can add depth to their dummy half and forward rotation, although Brandon Smith has switched from the Roosters and is expected to fill a similar role once he's recovered from his ACL injury.
Garlick will join outside back Moala Graham-Taufa as new faces at the Bunnies in 2026.
