Brisbane Broncos hooker Blake Mozer has suffered yet another blow in his quest to return to the NRL, breaking his jaw in the Queensland Cup on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Courier Mail the luckless Mozer left the field in the 76th minute for an HIA while playing for Broncos feeder club Souths Logan Magpies.
The 21-year-old was later diagnosed with a fracture that could see him miss up to six weeks of action.
It’s the latest setback in a wretched 2025 for the rising star who suffered a serious shoulder injury in the pre-season and is yet to play first-grade under coach Michael Maguire.

Despite his injury woes, Mozer recently signed a two-year extension in a move that could see current Broncos rake, Cory Paix, squeezed out of the Red Hill club at the end of 2025.
A product of the rugby league assembly line that is Keebra Park State High School, the Southport-born Mozer joined the Broncos junior development program as a 13-year-old and made his NRL debut in the final round of the 2023 season.
Since then, the former Australian Schoolboy representative and Queensland Under-19 captain has appeared in just nine NRL games for the Broncos.
Meanwhile, Brisbane are said to be hopeful that another option for the Broncos number nine jersey, Ben Hunt, could be fit for selection for this Sunday’s Round 19 match against the Gold Coast Titans after recovering from a hamstring injury suffered back in May.
