After taking a multi-week hiatus from darts, there may be signs that Michael van Gerwen is back.
Is MVG officially back?
Michael van Gerwen hasn't played in a PDC darts event since May 22nd.
He's currently on a six-match losing streak between Euro Tour, Players Championship and Premier League events.
After splitting up with his wife, he decided to take a short break from darts on tour.

His form has taken a dip recently, which we can assume partly has to do with the personal issues he has been dealing with.
It was a shocker to see him fail to make the play-off night in the 2025 Premier League of Darts, which has only happened a couple times in his career before.
MVG was seen playing in a non-PDC event in Belgium on Saturday night, which is a great indicator of Mighty Mike making a return.

He's scheduled to compete at this week's U.S. Darts Masters in New York, and nothing has pointed towards him dropping out, but it's encouraging to see MVG back having fun, either way.
We were also recently able to hear from one of MVG's closest friends, Vincent van der Voort, saying that MVG is getting closer to his elite form and is focused on his return.
From what it sounds like, we should expect to see Michael return, and possibly come back closer to his older self than we have seen out of him on stage in recent months.
