Luke Littler and Luke Humphries represented England in the 2025 World Cup of Darts this past weekend.
The heavy favorites were sent home by host country Germany before they could even win a game.
After the weekend, one darts legend made critical comments on the Lukes after their disappointing loss to Germany.
What comments were made?
Dennis Priestley, who is a former world champion, made far from friendly comments on Littler and Humphries' performances.
Priestley said, "Luke Littler and Luke Humphries let their country down at the World Cup of Darts, from what we’ve heard they weren’t sitting together or practising together."
Both Lukes were given MBE recognition just before their tournament appearance.

This timing didn't exactly work in the favor of the Lukes after their below-par game against Germany in the round-of-16.
Priestley had several other comments on Littler, mainly trying to give constructive criticism, but Littler didn't take it well.
Littler responded to Priestley, saying, "Don't deserve an MBE but done more in 12 months than he ever did...that's what I would say anyway."

He appeared to take the comments in the wrong direction, and used the opportunity to mention the historic resume that built up over his first 12-18 months in the PDC.
The World Matchplay is right around the corner as an opportunity for the Lukes to get back on track.
However, they will both be back in action on Jun. 27 for the U.S. Darts Masters.
