Essendon’s horror injury run has taken another turn for the worse, with three key players hit by fresh concerns during what was supposed to be a light training session on Saturday morning.
Darcy Parish (calf tightness), Mason Redman (hamstring), and Kyle Langford (quad) are all being assessed after setbacks at The Hangar, further complicating the Bombers’ plans heading into next week’s clash with Gold Coast.
The club confirmed the trio are being monitored, though the full extent of the damage remains unclear.

"On top of everything they've copped this year"
Speaking on 3AW, journalist Caroline Wilson revealed the scale of the fresh injury scare, although the club is yet to confirm the reports.
“We know Essendon are going through a soft-tissue injury crisis... on top of everything they've copped this year, we're told that Darcy Parish has got some form of calf injury from training this morning, Mason Redman a [hamstring injury] and Kyle Langford a quad (injury). How serious those injuries are from this light training session? I don't know,” she said.
Parish has already missed most of the season due to calf and back issues, while Langford hasn't played since Round 11, and Redman was sidelined after Round 12. All three were in the mix to return against the Suns next Saturday at Marvel Stadium, a match that shapes as critical to the Bombers' finals push.
With a growing injury list that already includes Jordan Ridley, Ben McKay, and Zach Reid, coach Brad Scott faces another selection headache as his side stares down a crucial stretch of the season.
