Collingwood's pursuit of Carlton's favourite son Jack Silvagni is frustrating several Magpies after improved contracts.
Magpies coach Craig McRae admitted to meeting with Silvagni about a potential move to Collingwood and the possibility of a 'second date' between the pair.
With unrestricted free agent Silvagni likely to be wooed with a significant pay packet, several premiership Magpies are disappointed they haven't received better contract offers.
The likes of Jamie Elliott, Brody Mihocek, Jeremy Howe, Scott Pendlebury and Steele Sidebottom remain unsigned for 2026, while sought-after Darcy Cameron is out-of-contract at the end of next season.

"There is an interesting domino effect in regard to Jack Silvagni and if he does go to Collingwood, and what it could mean," journalist Riley Beveridge said on Gettable.
"There's been some frustration from the premiership players who are uncontracted at the moment around their current situations.
"I think the Jack Silvagni offer, and since it's come to light and the amount that they're paying him over the four-year deal, has exacerbated that frustration a little bit."
Top-of-the-table Collingwood continue their pursuit of the minor premiership as they host Brisbane Lions at the MCG on Saturday night.
